The World I Know

[about the song]

Well just gotta post this...

Here are the lyrics:

Has our conscience shown?

Has the sweet breeze blown?

Has all the kindness gone?

Hope still lingers on.

I drink myself of newfound pity

Sitting alone in new york city

And I dont know why.

Are we listening to hyms of offering?

Have we eyes to see that love is gathering?

All the words that Ive been reading

Have now started the act of bleeding into one.

So I walk up on high

And I step to the edge

To see my world below.

And I laugh at myself

While tears roll down

cause its the world I know

Its the world I know.

Je crois que je l'aime, (I Think I'm in Love / Can This Be Love?)

(desolèe pour les title! hindi talaga mahilig ang French language sa capitalizations!)

Anyway, My God! Finalement! The one movie I've been dying to see since God-knows-when!!! I swear to God, I tried all of its scheduled screenings ever since the film fest began without any luck!!!

Today! Ouis! With all the rain and bagyo! For an 8pm screening, I had to rush to Shang before 6! 5:30 and the line was long. The tickets were distributed 6! I was so afraid to lose ticket! haha! Well, not on the last screening! I've learnt my leçon all this time...

[tears...] haha! The movie was so cute! Unlike "Clean" and "Changement d'Adresse", this has no tear-jerkers! You'll just feel the comedy of a love story of two old people who behave in a not-so-mature manner wehn it comes to love. I won't tell more! Basta! cute s'ya! nagustuhan ko s'ya! 'Yun lang! It was worth it...I walked out of the theater smiling...And I am developing an impression for French films! Hmmm...well, I'd rather see "Ma vie en l'air" and "Ah! si j'etais riche" tomorrow... and the overall assessment of the festival....Au revoir!

Romane de Gare (Crossed Tracks)

OK! By now, which is the 2nd to the last day of French Film Fest in Manila, I managed to watch just a third film, Romane de Gare!

[It's been two weeks and three films! Yeps! Sadly...either I don't have time to Shang or I am sleeping after work or in most cases, I'm at Shang but one hour before the film and the tickets are out! Damn these people! They love free stuffs!]

I haven't even watched "Ah si j'etais Riche", "Ma vie en L'Air" and "Je crois que je l'aime" which I've been dying to see since even the film fest haven't started yet!

I was able to catch "Changement d'Adresse" and "Clean" last week which were just about comme çi, comme ça!

Très bien! Allez-nous de retourner au film Romane de Gare! Ça va très bien! I didn't even expect it! So far, of the three movies I watch, this is the best! Alright! Alright! Don't expect a movie review to follow. I can't make one right now. It's just so hectic! But generally, Romane was very very nice! Nicely done!

Ça va! A brief sharing: it was a very very clever story about an author and a drama! You won't appreciate until you watch it! It's just so complicated to write a review about! But here's to expect: You'll laugh at Huguette's stupidity or at Pierre's mannerisms. You'll be scared by Pierre's and Judith's mysteries. You'll be moved at the end. And you'll be impressed over all! That's at least if you know how to appreciate a good film...

Anyway, if you're reading this! Oui, vous! You should be envy! I watched it for free at Shang! You won't find it in your suking video city! Astrovision? Not a chance! Because it's French, foreign, étrangére. Alliance might have some copy someday! Last day tomorrow and tickets will be gone in 10 minutes, trust me!

And I am off to watch the last film of the day, Je crois que je l'emais (I Think I'm in Love)!
Reviews later! Au revoir!

What have you done lately?

These past few weeks, I've been watching crap movies!

Thank God I spent the last bills on my wallet yesterday for a guaranteed seat ticket to a "Wanted" viewing.

Damn jolie! I still think she's the hottest woman to ever walk on earth! Hot! Hot! Hot! Damn her!

Well, enough of the overly admiration and I'm neither gonna go for areview, not my thang! lol...

Movie was great! Haven't watched a spy movie something like this since MI3...but this is way better and great! I know "Get Smart" is a spy movie, it's an exception

Did I Just...

...speak to Fred Ayala?

Rizal Stadium,
Ayala Olympics,
May 10, 2008,
sometime between 10 and 11am,

...we were seated at the back row, eating,
while athletes are doing their things on the track,
a middle-aged mestizo guy sat beside me and asked from which group did I came from.

(We obviously came from the same group, Ayala Corporations,
because we were wearing the same shirt...)

I told him I came from eTelecare
and the coversation started!

From which clan(or program) I came from...
I told him I'm from Vonage...
He told me he's a Vonage customer as well...
He asked if we get to talk to Filipinos...
Most are in the US and a few from here in the Philippines...
Yada! Yada!

...and off he went leaving the words "Sige!"

I suspected the moment we had a talk.
The same reason I asked my seatmates who the man was...
The exact words I used, "Sino siya?"
And the people bursted into laughter like they were scaring me with "Hala ka!"
Because the man was Fred Ayala!

Man, whoever he is I suspected he was an Ayala!
But whatever! The only Ayala I know is Fernando Zobel!
Who the hell is Fred Ayala?

The moment I got home, I did my research right away.

Keywords: Fred Ayala

#1 Search result: Welcome to eTelecare

... I followed the link and Woof!

Fred Ayala, chairman and former CEO of eTelecare Global Solutions
graduated MBA, Harvard School of Business

and that's the only time I went like WhoaH!
I spoke to my company's leader!
Is that so?

It was an amazing experience,
especially when the day before, I just had the worst day of my life.

There you go!
One day of jinx and the next day full of surprises...

The moral lesson of the story is...
DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS!

I think I'm a cry again: I hate Dallas!

year after year after year...
and it's been two years...

Well, it started since I've known Dallas went to Playoffs.

Two years ago, what I thought was their time to be the champion, was a very trying Finals with a where-is-it-now team such as Miami. I totally thought they deserved title after beating powerhouses Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs.

But we all went home crying...and I literally cried!

And last year, their strongest season EVER, and probably one of the best regular season an NBA team could ever have...(just second to Chicago) They went to playoffs having all this comparison to Chicago Bulls, that they're going to go all the way to the finals and claim the trophy finally.

And boom! A low-profile, no-chance-to -go-to-the-Finals, unusual playoff contender such as Golden State Warriors ruined these dreams...

And I cried as well..

And now, for the third time, Im cryin' again!

Yeah! It hurts when you're a fan...

How could Dallas do this every single year? They're hurting thousands of fans like me when they go to a game starting strong and losing eventually because they did not persist!

How is it that they can crush powerhouses Phoenix and San Antonio and not losers such as Miami, Golden State and New Orleans?

How is it that they cannot prevail over mind battles?

Now, I don't know what to expect more of them. They proved more times than they ever should have to be disappointing a team they are.

...BUT! I will still be a fan.

Nowitzki scolding Kidd was JUST-eefiaBLE!!!

I was listening to a radio show this afternoon where Andi and Joey were kind of discussing NBA Playoffs, how upset is goin' with Boston Celtics, poor Suns being down 3-1 to Spurs, etc. And then they went down to discussing Nowitzki's and Kidd's fight over their last game (wherein they eventually lost to New Orleans and now 1-3). They kind of disliked what happened because Kidd is new to the team and still adusting...yada! yada!

I was annoyed by the remarks because in the first place, Nowitzki is the CAPTAIN of the team.
Duh! He has all the rights in the world to reprimand "everybody" in the team if that will better their performance.

No one was stepping up or at least HELP, how do you suppose a captain to act?

Second point, agree or not, we know that though team's name is Dallas Mavericks, it's AKA Team Dirk!

They shouldn't have traded Devin Harris for a "kid" to begin with! Stupid Dallas!

Sorry Kidd fans, but I am a DALLAS fan and Kidd in the team is not doing any good.

But let's see. Playoffs' not over yet. If Kidd can do something to get Dallas back up, I might take back what all I've said.

But for now, let's not consider the fight with the two a fault on Dirk's side! PUH-LEASE!!

New 7 Wonders of Nature: Philippines can be a pain in the ass!

New Open World Foundation has opened the 7 Wonders Votation again!
But this time it's for the 7 Wonders of Nature...

If we recall we had a little disappointing result of the 07.07.07 New 7 Wonders of the Ancient World for the fact that Pyramids of Giza, the lone survivor of the preceding list, was not included . And on a personal note, I kind of disagree with the list.

But let's leave that alone!

A new contest is open to, if not the most deserving, the most popular Nature Site.

The voting actually started way before I knew it.

But let's see! The voting runs til the end of the year. So nations, organizations or simply put fans of the nominees can gather as much vote as they can for the longest time they can have.

Now, the more interesting part is, Philippines has three (and I mean 3) sites to be proud of:
1. Chocolate Hills (9)
2. Tubataha Reef (10)
3. Mayon Volcano (19)

that, as of writing, are ranked 9, 10 and 19 respectively.
(Mayon Volcano being the greatest gainer in the entire list)

This is not actually not the ideal nominees that I expected to be in the contention for such a prestigious list. Well, basically, Philippines is home to many strange and amazing wonders that the list is supposedly looking for:

Say Lake Taal(or Taal Volcano, making the Guiness Book of Records by being the only lake on a lake on a lake)

Hundred Islands of Pangasinan

The Banaue Rice Terraces

etc.etc.etc

But I say our representatives being on the list is kind of believable!

I don't actually expect them to win but giving Mt. Everest, Grand Canyon, Great Barrier Reef, and the kinds, a pain in the ass can be way fun!!!

Now, fellow Filipinos and anyone who agree with me can now visit New http://www.new7wonders.com/

And on a personal note, you can actually use all of the emails you're aware you had!
